Spring-loaded lockable gas springs
Lift - press - spring lock
Lockable gas springs are often used in applications where it is necessary for the moving object to remain in a certain position, such as when adjusting seats or fixing work platforms at the desired height.
Spring-loaded lockable gas springs enable a resilient, damping locking function.

Functionality and usage
Blocking is achieved by a mechanism within the spring that is triggered when the desired position is reached. When the spring is blocked in this position, it can no longer be compressed or extended until the blocking mechanism is released again. This can be done by applying a force in the opposite direction or by releasing a lever or other unlocking mechanism.
