The lever release is a device for releasing the locking mechanism of lockable gas springs. It is therefore a necessary part of the lockable gas spring and is offered separately by us so that it can be customised precisely to the requirements and function of the gas spring. Lever releases differ in terms of their function, mechanism, control and dimensions. We offer different versions, such as the simple lever release, the Bowden cable release or the HY hydraulic release system.

It is important to select and use the lever release correctly to avoid accidents and to ensure that the movement is controlled and safe.

Floor pull releases for lockable gas springs

A floor pull is a flexible pull or push cable consisting of an outer housing and an inner steel cable or wire. The advantage of Bowden cable releases lies in their simple design and flexibility. However, they may also have certain limitations in terms of accuracy and power transmission compared to the hydraulic mechanism.

Additional part: Adapter for M6 thread can be ordered.
On-board hoists with Z-hooks, suitable for the BD35 Bowden cable release, in the standard lengths: 500, 750, 1000, 1250 and 1500 mm.

HY hydraulic release system for lockable gas springs

While the simple lever release is a purely mechanical function via an operating lever, the hydraulic release system utilises hydraulic forces. The advantages of hydraulic release systems lie in their high performance, their ability to transmit large forces and their precise controllability. However, they also require regular maintenance to ensure optimum functionality and safety. Hydraulic release systems can also be extended to 2 releases or 2 gas springs to be controlled. The length of the hoses can be customised.
