Rigid locking gas springs
Heben - drücken - arretieren
In contrast to standard gas springs, lockable gas springs have an additional locking function and thus offer the clear advantage that they can be infinitely adjusted in their position. These are often fitted to flaps, lids or height-adjustable chairs and tables and, in addition to ideal weight equalisation, also enable individual and user-friendly handling. The locking and release of the blocking function is achieved by means of a lever release.

Functionality and use
Rigid locking gas springs have a mechanism that allows the piston to engage and lock in a certain position. This is done by a mechanical locking mechanism or by engaging the piston in a special holding mechanism in the cylinder. Once the gas spring is locked, the component to which it is attached is held in the fixed position and movement is prevented.
They are used in various areas, for example in the furniture industry to hold flaps or doors in an open or closed position. They are also used in the automotive industry, for example to hold bonnets or tailgates in a certain position. The locking mechanism enables secure fixing and prevents unwanted movement of the component.
